The Linyi Plant

The Linyi Plant is located near the city of Linyi, in Shandong Province on the eastern coast of China. There are 452 employees, including 53 engineers and technicians. Key management have over 60 years combined experience in the steel and alloy processing industries.

The Linyi Plant is close to coke supplies as well as road, rail and sea infrastructure. It is 100km from Rizhao Port, one of the major ports of China.

Shanghai is approximately 550 km away.

Shandong Province has 100 million people and it's GDP is second in China.

The Linyi Plant currently operates as a throughput plant, relying on its customers to supply laterite nickel ore and other raw materials to produce nickel pig iron.

Operations and emission from the Plant are subject to compliance with local Chinese environmental regulations. Linyi Yilida Steel holds the required environmental certification issued by the Linyi Bureau of Environmental Protection.


Blast Furnace and Sintering Facility One (BF1) - pictured left is a 320m³ blast furnace built in 2004.

BF1 has been running at full capacity of 45,000 tonnes of nickel pig iron since 2006.


Blast Furnace and Sintering Facility Two (BF2) - pictured right is a 550m³ blast furnace that is currently being constructed.

It is estimate to have a production capacity of at least 135,000 tonnes of high grade nickel pig iron.
